The Village of Cleves Police Department is pleased to announce the receipt of hundreds of gun safety locks from PROJECT ChildSafe. The gun safety locks were donated to the Police Department for distribution to our local residents free of charge.
All of us at The Village of Cleves Police Department feel that the safety of the children in our Village is top priority, and we encourage all gun owners to utilize this simple and effective gun safety lock to prevent accidents involving children and guns.
PROJECT ChildSafe is a nationwide program used to promote the safe handling and storage of firearms for all gun owners through safety education messages and free gun locking devices.
The free gun locking devices are available at The Village of Cleves Police Department twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. Any person interested in obtaining a free gun lock may call or come to the Police Department to obtain one. As always, officers at The Village of Cleves Police Department are available at any time to answer questions about gun safety.
